This project involves the cinematographic and photographic exploration of dance. The goal is to capture the visual element of dance -- as opposed to just recording performances.

The dances are very site-specific and often take place in natural locations (such as woods or beach), or among surreal-looking abandoned structures. However, they may also take place in dance studios or in other locations.

I tend to prefer solo dancers over groups, but I'm open to many possibilities.

Each video/photo shoot leads to an individual dance piece. In addition, I anticipate also producing a compilation from multiple shoots, weaving together a variety of dancers and dances.

The video is shot with one or multiple digital camcorders. After editing the raw footage, the final product can go on DVD.

Also, I'm working towards the production of photographic exhibitions combined with dance videos. Such multimedia events might also include slide projections, 3-D photographic images and dance performances.
